The Coventry Residence 3 master plan has two different volumes of architecture, joined to comprise an articulated residential community that is contained within its physical fabric. The organization of services and the parking facilities, both underground and above ground, takes place at the podium volume with a completely open rooftop leisure area, the main entry lobby and retail and service zones. The residential tower rises from the podium by five levels with a stepping and articulation arrangement which projects the skyline profile and enhances the depth of the balconies and penetration of natural light at all the various residential floors. Both horizontal and vertical volumes are juxtaposed, the horizontal one is grounded, and the vertical is expressive, and the resulting composition appears to be more architecturally developed than built out of regulations.
